Workshop overview

We are excited to bring you the second workshop in our Masterclass Series ’22, featuring guest gardener Margaret Long. This workshop will be held in Margaret’s stunning garden Frensham, near Tai Tapu, Christchurch.

In this second of three workshops, Margaret will provide a fascinating insight into the many important tasks undertaken in the garden at Frensham in winter – to ensure all areas of the garden remain healthy, and will look their best in the year ahead.

“Most garden visitors think that we rest during winter, in fact it is our busiest times of the year. This session will cover in detail much of the work that is carried out during the winter months.”

This promises to be an interesting and informative session, and a unique opportunity to experience one of New Zealand’s most significant gardens, at a time of year when many show gardens are hidden from view.

Further workshops in this series:

Friday 18th March '22 -  Colour in the Garden
Friday 4th November '22 - Plants for Dry and Shady Places

For more information about Frensham visit www.frensham.co.nz . Margaret’s excellent book Frensham: A New Zealand Garden, with photographs by Juliet Nicholas, is available to purchase at Frensham.
