Celebrate the season with a creative and mindful afternoon at Slow Blooms in beautiful Matakana.
Guided by Harriet Read, a florist with years of international experience, you’ll learn the art of crafting your own dried floral wreath using sustainable blooms grown right here on our flower farm.
Using only environmentally friendly materials, this workshop is a wonderful way to embrace the festive spirit while creating something lasting and meaningful.
The experience begins with a guided tour of our permaculture garden, led by Slow Blooms founder Rebecka Keeling, followed by a glass of bubbles as you settle in for the hands-on wreath-making session.
Perfect for the lead-up to Christmas, your handcrafted wreath can be a thoughtful gift or a beautiful decoration for your home – and because it’s made from dried flowers, it will last well beyond the festive season.
All materials are provided – just bring your creativity and curiosity.
What you'll need
All materials are provided but you might want to bring gumboots for the garden tour in case of rain.
